| Silver Micro Bi-Wire is a high quality silver-plated cable that draws on the same technology as Silver Anniversary cable but comes in a more conveniently sized package. It comprises four conductors arranged side by side in a traditional double figure-of-eight geometry.
The cable works by maximising the cross sectional area, and therefore conductance, of the copper conductors, which minimises the voltage drop across the cable. This is further enhanced by the silver plating of the individual strands which reduces the resistance of the outer signal path which tends to be taken by higher frequencies (see reference data on skin effect).
By careful spacing of the individual conductors and meticulous attention to detail during the manufacturing process, the consistent construction geometry and Low-Density Polyethylene insulator ensures that the reactive capacitance and inductance of the cable remains low across the audio band.
